狗皮我是選擇第二條小徑環繞著火山口邊緣的路線步行些許 ， 無論是哪條路線必須非常注意安全 ， 因為步行的路面是碎石子路 ， 加上邊坡高度落差極大 ， 可說是非常危險 。
不過大家可能會發現到 ， 位於北端的 烏貝希比火山口Ubehebe Crater 地質跟我們第一天位於南區的地質完全不一樣 ； 除了肉眼發現的差異外 ， 狗皮查詢了一下 ， 這些沉積物是通過溪流沉積而成的，其中包含石灰岩，泥岩和石英岩以及直徑最大為8英寸（20厘米）的火山卵。
另外值得注意的是 ， 除了步行中的注意外 ， 這邊的風速在 Ubehebe Crater” 火山口的邊緣是非常強，經常陣風以上50英里每小時（80公里/小時）。所以各位旅友無論是拍照還是步行各路線 ， 都要非常注意!!!
